Alexander Papp, MD
MY ROLE AS A PSYCHIATRIST:

Dr. Papp has been trained to use an integrative approach to the practice of psychiatry, combining elements of psychotherapy with expert use of medications and natural supplements, as well as ketamine for treatment-resistant conditions.

Dr. Papp has been in practice for over 25 years, in various treatment settings, from mental health clinics to psychiatric departments of academic institutions, as well as private practice, allowing him to accumulate experience in treating a wide range of conditions. He has been actively involved with teaching, both residents and medical students as well as psychologists obtaining expertise in psychopharmacology. 


Dr. Papp is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, holds an Assistant Clinical Professor status at UCSD and is on the adjunct faculty of Alliant International University.

Julie Myers, PsyD, MSCP
MY ROLE AS A PSYCHOTHERAPIST:

Dr. Myers is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to regain control over their lives. She helps patients learn to accept themselves unconditionally, change harmful behaviors, and address underlying conditions that fuel behaviors. She specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, substance abuse, relationship issues, and has published work in the field of traumatic grief.

Dr. Myers broad background allows for a fresh look at your issues. Trained in both psychology and psychopharmacology, Dr. Myers approaches psychotherapy as a joint effort with your other providers, employing CBT, behavioral therapy, virtual reality, biofeedback, and EMDR where appropriate.

Julie Myers holds a Psychology Doctorate and a Postdoctoral MS in Clinical Psychopharmacology. She is Board Certified in Biofeedback (BCIA, Fellow), a Master Addiction Counselor (NAADAC), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (IATP). As an Adjunct Faculty at Alliant Int’l U, Dr. Myers teaches psychopharmacology to psychologists who are training for prescriptive authority. Dr. Myers volunteers her time with the San Diego non-profit group, Survivors of Suicide Loss (SOSL)
